Minor Surgery Doctor

We are a private skin clinic looking for a Skin Surgeon / Minor Surgery Doctor.Your clinics will be for removal of skin lesions including moles, cysts, lipomas and a range of other benign skin lesions including earlobe repair.

The role requires surgical expertise and experience in dermatology, general surgery or secondary care dermatology.

Would suit Plastic Surgeon Consultant or SPR, Dermatologist with special interest in Derm Surgery or GP specialist with experience in secondary care Dermatology ideally.

 

Essential

Medical Doctor with a valid GMC registration

Surgical experience in dermatology, general surgery for skin lesions

 

We offer an excellent and competitive remuneration package, commensurate with your qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide a positive and supportive working environment with a dedicated team of assistants, administration staff, and other doctors. You will have access to fully equipped clinics with excellent minor surgery theatre facilities.

You will be assisted at all times and have all the clinic set up for your sessions.

The role is flexible and not full time at the beginning but offered on a clinical needs basis.

A Saturday session or full day is ideal from the outset.

The Chiltern Medical Clinic is a private dermatology and laser surgery clinic located in Goring on Thames and Reading, Berkshire. We are a successful and growing Doctor led clinic specialising in non-invasive and minimally invasive procedures. We have an excellent reputation and provide outstanding patient care. This is an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant or Nurse to join a highly innovative and expanding clinic.

(Medical profession is essential – A nurse PIN is not essential)

 

Role

You will be working within a challenging environment and will:

  • Assist doctors with consultations and treatments to new and existing patients who are considering / having minor surgery, cosmetic surgery and laser treatments
  • Be physically able to adapt to the environment including the potential to stand for long periods
  • Able to prepare all necessary instruments and equipment for procedures
  • Work alongside doctors, providing instruments, needles, swabs and other material as required, and be able to anticipate their requirements
  • Prepare the environment and equipment needed for a particular procedure
  • Ensure that all paperwork is given to and signed by patients before a procedure
  • Keep track of all stock for procedures
  • Ensure all patients are given post procedure information
  • Sterilise instruments and track
  • Provide consultations to patients who are considering our range of non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments.
  • Be knowledgeable and aware of our products/treatments and procedures
  • Be caring, honest and have a reliable personality
  • Have very good interpersonal skills
  • Be competent to work in a highly technical area
  • Have an ability to pay great attention to detail and to concentrate for lengthy periods of time
  • Have an empathetic understanding for the patients

We are looking for someone warm and friendly, who is passionate about providing exceptional levels of customer service at all times to our patients and the team of doctors and aesthetic practitioners.

Role:

Main Responsibilities and Duties

  • Meet and greet patients for consultations/treatments ensuring they are dealt with in a first class, professional manner
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent diary management
  • Responding to customer enquiries via all media channels, e.g. face to face, telephone, email, web chat and social media
  • Ensuring all enquiries are adequately screened to ensure patient safety and quality of consultation
  • Providing all enquiries with accurate information regarding their proposed procedure
  • Responsible for taking payments for treatments and products, ensuring company policies and procedures and security standards are complied with
  • Update the credit card log following all credit card purchases
  • Responsible for the co-ordination of patient files
  • Responsible to ensure patient complaints are reported to a Manager
  • Cashing up and banking
  • Opening and closing the clinic and ensuring the clinic is ready for trading
  • Liaising with all the team
  • Safeguard the company’s cash and banking, ensuring money is banked in compliance with company policy and staff welfare is protected
  • Product and stock control
  • Responsible for the clinics Petty Cash
  • Printing, scanning and filing patient notes
  • Filing patient pictures
  • Other admin duties

Requisites

The most important aspect of your role is delivering excellent customer service, and as such we are interested in hearing from applicants with the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in 5 Star Client Relations in the hotel / beauty counter / spa / leisure sector
  • Have impeccable presence and be naturally bubbly
  • Efficient, organised, capable to multitask
  • Have the ability to listen and respond to demanding client needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A passion for delivering exceptional levels of client service
  • Flexible Team player with a positive, “Yes I can” attitude
  • Team work is essential, as is reliability and flexibility for shifts.
  • You will work closely with our 2 clinics and your great communication skills will help ensure that our patients have a fantastic experience.

Clinic Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinic Manager to lead the team in their non-surgical department.

Role

You will be working within a challenging environment and your role will be to manage a team of aesthetic practitioners, drive sales, and oversee compliance to ensure that the clinic meets all regulatory guidelines.

You will oversee the work of a team of aesthetic practitioners, including doctors, nurses, and aestheticians. You will monitor performance and motivate the team to meet clinic targets for sales and patient satisfaction.

You will be responsible for the operational management of the clinic, ensuring that the clinic is fully compliant with the CQC (Care Quality Commission).

You will also oversee patient service, ensuring that the patient journey is at an excellent standard from start to finish.

This is a rare opportunity to join the team at one of the UK’s leading independent clinics.

Requisites

  • You must have previous experience of managing a cosmetic clinic.
  • You will have the business acumen to successfully implement the clinic’s sales strategy, the organisational skills and attention to detail needed to ensure the clinic is compliant, and you will be an inspiring leader who is able to motivate the team.
  • You must have experience of working within the aesthetics or cosmetic surgery sector, with an excellent knowledge of current treatment trends and a good understanding of the process from patient enquiry to consultation to treatment.
  • You will be caring, honest and have a reliable personality and ability to interact with others as part of a team.

  • A strong commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.

  • Positive can do attitude and passion for the industry.

  • The applicant will need to work between our two locations – Goring on Thames and Reading, Berkshire.
