Dr Niall Munnelly is the Medical Director and founder of the
Chiltern Medical Clinic. He qualified as a medical doctor in
1990 in Dublin, Ireland. From its inception, the Chiltern
Medical Clinic has been at the leading edge of medical
aesthetics. The Clinic is unique in both quality and character -
a range of state-of-the-art lasers and Dr Niall Munnelly on site
most days with his team - and it has developed into one of the
most advanced and comprehensive centres of its kind anywhere.
Dr Munnelly provides a very high level of individualised care
- performing personal private consultations and education with
every patient. Patients can be assured that Dr Munnelly uses
only state-of-the-art equipment and products to ensure the
health and well being of his patients.

lines/wrinkles to a laser treatment for facial veins/leg veins,
hair removal, acne, pigmentation, tattoo removal to advice on

Dr Steve Tristram is an associate specialist in vascular
surgery. His expertise is in the scanning and treatment by
injection and compression sclerotherapy of leg veins. This
technique allows for the treatment of larger blue veins
(reticular and varicose veins) which in the past would only be
amenable to surgical treatment. Also the use of “foam” as the
agent which is injected has revolutionised the treatment of
larger leg veins by injection. He uses a Duplex scanner which
allows him to identify problems in the larger vessels such as
“leaking” valves and perforator veins which are the usual source
of thread veins and varicose veins. The scanner also allows him
to accurately visualise and safely inject larger veins which
would be sometimes impossible with the naked eye. It is
important to provide the right compression to these veins after
treatment and we provide the correct medical grade compression
stockings for this purpose. Dr Tristram and Dr Munnelly both inject small thread veins and
Dr Munnelly also uses the Nd:YAG laser and the KTP to treat
these veins. We are very happy that we can provide a very
comprehensive and up to date service for the treatment of the
vast majority of leg veins problems. ..top
Dr Martin James is a Consultant Dermatologist with over 30 years
experience. He studied medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital and
graduated in 1972. He undertook dermatology training at St
Thomas’ Hospital, St Johns Hospital, The Institute of
Dermatology in London and was appointed to West Berkshire in
1980 at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading.
We are proud to have Dr Martin James on board and he will be
available for consultations and treatments on a twice monthly
basis. He will be happy to take self referrals or from general
practitioners for skin complaints. He is recognised by all the
main insurance companies. Dr James offers advice and treatment
in the following areas: general dermatology, skin cancer,
dermatological surgery and laser treatments.
